Features:
The peculiarity of the electrical action, carried out with the help of the TRANSAIR-03 devices, is the stimulation with special electric rectangular current pulses of a fixed frequency and duration. The position of the electrodes on the head is also strictly fixed – the negative electrode is always located in the forehead area, the positive one is also behind the ears. Thus, the patient is not required to select the exposure parameters except for the value of the therapeutic current) and the position of the electrodes, which greatly simplifies the treatment process and makes it safe.
This type of transcranial electrical stimulation has received a special name in the scientific and medical literature – TES therapy.. It is proved that the current from the device penetrates through the skin and soft tissues of the head, the skull and ultimately acts on the antinociceptive structures of the brain. This ensures the activation of the protective mechanisms of the brain.
It has been shown that already 10-15 minutes after the start of stimulation, there is an increase in the release of opioid peptides (beta-endorphin) and an increase in their concentration in the brain, cerebrospinal fluid and blood several times. It has also been established that serotonergic and cholinergic neurotransmitter mechanisms are also involved in the development of the effects of TES therapy, in addition to opiatergic.

History of the "TPP Center"
In 1991 in I.P.Pavlov Institute of Physiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the basis of the Sector of Transcranial Electrical Stimulation Mechanisms, headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.P. Lebedev, the scientific and practical center “Protective Mechanisms of the Brain” was created for the industrial production of TES-therapy devices. For six years, under the license of the authors of the method, the devices were produced under the brand name “ETRANS” at the Yaroslavl radio Plant. In 1996, the scientific and practical center was transformed into the TPP Center LLC, which began assembling the devices «TRANSAIR» (Transcranial electrical stimulator for Analgesia, Immunity and Repair) on its own production base.
